Typical scenario 5, "Adapting through technological innovation"

by The crossing | LIFE Maraisilience - future scenario-building workshops

In this hyper-connected marshland, technology is omnipresent and drives adaptation to climate change. Agathe, a farmer assisted by robots and drones, and Léo, a professional equipped with immersive tools, navigate an environment where artificial intelligence, automation, and genetics optimize every action. Landscapes, crops, and even the memory of living things are maintained by sophisticated technological systems. Comfort, performance, and the omnipresence of machines are at the heart of this capsule, which offers an immersion into a fluid yet profoundly transformed daily life. The archetype is that of a techno-solutionist territory, where innovation allows activities to continue despite constraints, at the cost of a significant artificialization of our relationship with the natural world.
