Typical scenario 3, "A nourishing agricultural marsh"

by The crossing | LIFE Maraisilience - future scenario-building workshops

In this future, the Marais is first and foremost a productive land, organized around agriculture and water management. Yves, Vincent, Guillemette, and James embody this society structured by agricultural work, the collective management of hydraulic infrastructure, and village life. Daily life is punctuated by crops, water levels, cooperatives, and collaborative decision-making. Between modernized practices, the maintenance of dikes, and strong community mobilization, this vignette immerses us in a territory where production and sustenance have once again become central. The archetype is that of an organized, intensive, yet territorially based agro-productive system, where water is managed to secure yields and structure social life.
